The New York Strangers are proud to host the 80th Annual North American Chinese Invitational Volleyball Tournament (NACIVT), taking place August 29 – September 1, 2025 in New York City.
This year marks a major milestone—80 years of 9-Man tradition—and for the first time ever, the tournament will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, one of the most iconic venues in the country. We’re expecting over 200 teams to compete in this landmark event, and we can’t wait to welcome the NACIVT community back to NYC.
This will be the largest indoor venue in NACIVT history, with over 125,000 square feet of space dedicated to volleyball courts, team areas, and vendor showcases—right in the heart of Manhattan.

Registration Details
All teams must register through EventConnect. Team registration includes tournament entry, access to the Javits Center, credentials for team check-in, and full use of the EventConnect team portal (hotels, roster management, and communications).
Registration Timeline:
- Early Registration – Now through June 6, 2025 @ 11:59 PM (ET)
- Regular Registration – June 7 – July 25, 2025 @ 11:59 PM (ET)
- Late Registration – July 26 – August 16, 2025 @ 11:59 PM (ET)
Registration closes after August 16, 2025, or once 185 teams have registered — whichever comes first.
Team Registration Fees:
Women’s Division
- Early: $1,650
- Regular: $1,800
- Late: $1,950
Men’s Division
- Early: $1,850
- Regular: $2,000
- Late: $2,150
Late fees or change fees may apply for roster edits after deadlines.
Deadlines:
- June 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET – Deadline for full refund on withdrawals
- July 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET – Deadline for 50% refund
- August 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET – No refunds after this date
- August 22, 2025 – Final roster deadline (no changes after)

Where to Stay
To participate in the tournament, all teams are required to book accommodations through EventConnect. The minimum room night requirements are:
- Men’s teams: 3 rooms = 9 total room nights
- Women’s teams: 2 rooms = 6 total room nights
Teams that do not meet this requirement will not be confirmed for the tournament. No exceptions will be granted unless pre-approved by the tournament housing committee.

How do I register my team for the 80th NACIVT?
All teams must register through our official platform, EventConnect.io. A direct registration link will be available on our website and shared with team captains. Only the designated team captain should complete the team registration.
How do we manage our team roster?
Team captains can manage their roster directly through their EventConnect dashboard. Rosters must be finalized by August 22, 2025 @ 11:59 PM (ET). No player substitutions or additions will be allowed after this deadline.
Men’s roster size = 18, Women’s roster = 15.
Is there a limit on the number of teams that can register?
Yes. The tournament will accept a maximum of 185 teams across all divisions. Registration is on a first-come, first-confirmed basis, pending both payment and hotel booking requirements.
